ANOTHER STORY: Reconstructed Rogers Bridge opened after 15 years

By Talore Ruedt  |  Rogers Bridge over the Chattahoochee River between Duluth and Johns Creek is now open, after a ribbon cutting last week. The pedestrian bridge connects Duluth’s Rogers Bridge Park to Johns Creek’s Cauley Creek Park. The work was done by the two cities, in partnership with Gwinnett and Fulton counties.

Myron E. Bullock, Sr.

Myron E. Bullock Sr. passed away at his home on January 31, 2023 at the age of 83.  He was born February 7, 1939 in Winder to Vernie Lee and Sara Knox Bullock.  His family had deep roots in Gwinnett County. He grew up in Duluth and attended Duluth High School where he played basketball and baseball.  He attended Piedmont College for his Bachelor Degree in Education and earned his Master’s and sixth year degrees at the University of Georgia.

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) student Autumn Musgrave Burgess, 24, of Canton, says she could easily have wandered down a bad path. She grew up in Forsyth County, the child of separated parents and a survivor of an “adverse childhood,” a term referring to various types of abuse and neglect.
