GwinnettForum suspends operations

These old water towers once showcased the county.

Due to the May death of editor and publisher Elliott Brack, GwinnettForum will suspend operations on July 1, his family announced today.

“Dad’s active lifestyle and deep involvement in what’s happened in Gwinnett County since he moved to the area in the mid-1970s has been a blessing to our family and people interested in public affairs from Lawrenceville and Norcross to Snellville and Dacula,” said son Andy Brack, who provided back-end support to publish the Forum since 2002.

“After a four-decade career in traditional newspapering, he started this online publication to serve as a place for people to talk civilly about Gwinnett issues of public importance,” Brack said.  “It was vitally important to Dad for Gwinnett to have an active online community to provide information and commentary to explore pragmatic and sensible public policy approaches to improve life across the county and state.”

The Brack family extends a hearty and warm thank you to everyone who read, supported and enjoyed GwinnettForum through the years.
