By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Here we are just into March, and we get an announcement about the Snellville Farmers Market’s upcoming season. Snellville is now accepting applications from vendors and scheduling entertainment for its upcoming eighth season. Wow! Eight years. Seems only yesterday.

The Snellville market will be each Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 3 through Sept. 30. The market is located on the Towne Green at the intersection of U.S. Highway 78 and Oak Road. Also: The Wall That Heals, more.

HOUSTON: Concerning old Ben Franklin not owning a cell phone

By Debra Houston | A hearing on the Apple and FBI clash begins March 22. In my last comment I explained why Apple refuses to invent a path to unlock San Bernardino terrorist Syed Farook’s iPhone. Hackers would uncover the path and invade our privacy and worse. I noted, “This isn’t about San Bernardino.”

HOUSTON: Argument for Apple master key is a Trojan horse

I could’ve bought a new computer with what I’d spent on fixing one PC.

BRACK: Empty rail flat cars, legislative dress, more

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | At the rail crossing, I was about six cars back as the Norfolk Southern train rambled southerly. Before the train cleared the crossing, there were about six cars behind me. I was at the crossing about 4-5 minutes, for it was a long train.

Watching the train glide past the crossing from afar, suddenly I realized that all the rail cars were low, in fact, all were empty flat-bed units. These are the rail cars that haul the multi-modal containers. But why were all the rail cars empty?
