FOCUS: Comment from a recent meeting with Gwinnett’s School Board

By Cathy Loew  |  Let me agree wholeheartedly with Jack Bernard’s Today’s Focus.  Our Gwinnett Schools are a mess and not many people are paying attention. Perhaps people will notice when we lose a bond rating, employers choose not to move to Gwinnett or Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students can’t get into the University of Georgia.

FOCUS: Applauds Dixon for seeking non-partisan school board

By Cathy Loew |  Let me applaud Senator Clint Dixon’s attempt to rein in the highly politicized school board. This was Everton Blair’s plan as Benjamin Herald explained in Education Week, October 26, 2020, “How the Fight for America’s Suburbs Started in Public Schools.”
