FOCUS: County plans for a transit referendum for November

By Deborah Tuff  |  The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved calling for a referendum on transit at its recent meeting. The transit referendum is to be placed on the 2024 November ballot, if it is approved as expected by the Atlanta Regional Commission, and officially voted on again by the Commission.

By Deborah Tuff  |  The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners has  adopted the final Equitable Redevelopment Plan for the Gwinnett Place Mall. The plan was informed by eight months of community engagement with direct input from over 2,000 Gwinnett residents and focuses on a new model for equitable development to benefit historically marginalized communities.

FOCUS: Leaders celebrate innovative new facility, The Water Tower 

By Deborah Tuff |  County leaders rolled up their sleeves to cut the ribbon for and celebrate the completion of The Water Tower – an innovative center in Gwinnett, bringing education, co-working and research together under one roof. It is the first facility of its kind in the world as it conducts research on the water and wastewater industry, and also helps train water technologists of the future.
