By Elliott Brack  | Have you noticed?  The Gwinnett Republican Party has so far about vanished in the run-up to this political season. The once-strong and dominant party is having difficulty finding candidates to run for local political offices, that is, compared to the Gwinnett Democratic Party. If anything, the Democrats are awash with candidates.

BRACK: Action needed in several areas to improve Gwinnett

By Elliott Brack  | The start of a new year is a good time to review what progress has been made in the past year for GwinnettForum’s List of Continuing Objectives. Unfortunately, there has been virtually no progress on this list during the last year.  

During December, GwinnettForum emphasized the need for Gwinnett legislators to move quickly once the General Assembly convenes to increase the salary for the chairman of the Gwinnett County Commission. This is our most pressing need at this time.

By Elliott Brack | Some bits and pieces: Cities around Gwinnett are stirring with political intrigue this week, as it’s time to qualify if you want to seek municipal office in Gwinnett.  Most cities close their qualifying Wednesday, though Berkeley Lake closes on Thursday and Auburn and Norcross on Friday.
