HOUSTON: Might just stay at home when election day rolls around

By Debra Houston | A few random thoughts today.

I mentioned to my hairdresser I might not vote in the presidential election. “You must!” she said. “Not voting at all is an automatic yes-vote for Trump.”

BRACK: Lots of voters just not happy with either political party candidates

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Over and over in recent days, people are telling me: “I just don’t have a candidate for president. I don’t like either party’s nominees. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might not vote.”

HOUSTON: Who will hold Hillary Clinton accountable if she wins?

By Debra Houston | It was 1992. I sipped coffee with a friend in the break room at work. We chatted about the upcoming election between George H. W. Bush and a relatively unknown governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton. I made a prediction. “If Clinton wins, there will be nothing but scandal after scandal.”

WOOD: Encourages “Never” candidates to sit this year’s voting out

By Michael Wood, Peachtree Corners, Ga. | Our country now has two major-party, presumptive candidates for president: Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. Of course, counting only these two omits candidates from other parties, such as the Libertarian and Green Parties, who have little chance to win the presidency, but who may play spoiler roles by pulling votes away from the two major parties’ candidates.

LEAPHART: Get off the president’s back and put the blame where it belongs

By Alvin Leaphart, attorney-at-law, Jesup, Ga. | At the time Bill Clinton left office and George Bush took over, this country was on a sound financial footing. During the Bush administration we suffered the 911 Attack. As the result we attacked Iraq, destroyed the Iraqi Army, essentially killed Saddam Hussein, and destroyed the balance of power in the Mid-East.
