FOCUS: Blind Norcross grad wins perfect job at Library of Congress

By Timothy Jones  |  During my freshman year at Mercer, a student journalist once interviewed me. I told her  that I wanted to eventually be somewhere serving God. If someone had told me then I would be serving Him in Washington, D.C.–making music available to the blind through braille music—I would never have believed it.

BRACK: Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth

By Elliott Brack  |  The Bibb County Board of Education is heavily responsible for my early love of classical music. Back when I was in grammar school, the Macon school system employed a person to travel to its elementary schools with her small 78 rpm record player, and give the students a lesson in “music appreciation.”

BRACK: We put another nickel in the ways we now constantly hear music

By Elliott Brack  | It’s amazing to me how much many of us spend on recorded music. From listening to individual tunes, to buying instruments to play these songs, to providing a few cents to the individual composers, not just Americans, but people all over the world shell out a lot of money for music.
