NEWS BRIEFS: County now has 13 glass recycling locations

Gwinnett County and Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, in partnership with Ripple Glass, have added 10 new glass recycling locations across the county. The County’s glass recycling program allows residents to drop off glass for safe and sustainable recycling.

NEWS BRIEFS: County rescinds idea of getting Livesy land by eminent domain

Without much information, the Gwinnett County Commission abruptly backed out of a condemnation of property in the south part of  Gwinnett, known as the Promised Land. It had previously been announced late last week that the county was to consider getting 10 acres of property by eminent domain.

NEWS BRIEFS: Gwinnett opens second glass recycling center at Pinckneyville Park

Gwinnett residents can now recycle glass at another location in Gwinnett.

Gwinnett County and Waste Pro USA, Inc., have expanded their drop-off glass recycling program to Pinckneyville Park, which began December 10.

BRACK: Here’s where to recycle fluorescent tubes, other products

Others are materials that no longer is financially viable for recycling, such as the way the recycled glass market has deteriorated.
