By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Many of us do not recognize how many government services we have. Motorists along about a 20-mile section of this interstate are under the protection of the Allentown Volunteer Fire Department. The department often makes emergency runs — about 16 percent of its calls — for accidents or auto fires on the Interstate.
